But while responding to the same question, President Kenyatta emphasized that the gay subject was a “non issue” for Kenyans.

There were “some things that we must admit we don’t share – our culture, our societies don’t accept,” he said.

“It’s very difficult for us to be able to impose on people that which they themselves do not accept.”

“America is one of  Kenya’s biggest partners and there are several things that we agree to working together on several matters including health, construction of roads and security. When we exhaust most of this issues, then we can consider moving on and discussing other matters,” Kenyatta said.
